BMW ECU / DME FEMTO Unlocking Service – Post-June 2020 Models
 
BMW Bosch ECUs (DME) manufactured after June 2020 are locked from factory and cannot be tuned via standard methods. At present, FEMTO is the only company capable of unlocking these control units to allow performance remapping.
 
If your ECU is locked and you require the FEMTO Unlock Service, you have two options:
1. Mail-In Service: Send your ECU/DME to us at MXP Autohaus, and we will handle the full process, including securely forwarding it to FEMTO for unlocking.
2. On-Site Service: Book your vehicle in with us and we’ll take care of the full removal, shipping, and reinstallation process at our workshop.
 
Once unlocked, your ECU will be ready for tuning via MXP Custom Tuning, Bootmod3, MHD, or any other compatible platform.
